FootySweep ("we", "us") runs a free football predictions game at footysweep.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. Questions: support@footysweep.com.
What we collect
- Account details you give us: email address, your name or display name, and a password (stored only as a secure hash).
- Game activity: the leagues you join and the predictions you make.
- Analytics & advertising data: with your consent, Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads set cookies to measure how our ads and pages perform (e.g. which ad brought you here, whether you signed up). This may include an online identifier and approximate location.
- Technical logs: standard server logs such as IP address and browser type, used for security and reliability.
Cookies and consent
Essential cookies keep you logged in and are always on. Analytics and advertising cookies only load after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner; if you decline, they are not set. You can change your mind any time by clearing the choice in your browser.
How we use your information
- To run the game — create your account, your leagues, and your predictions.
- To send service emails and, only if you opt in, match reminders and matchday recaps. You can turn these off at any time from the in-app Notifications control or the unsubscribe link in any email.
- To understand and improve how our advertising performs.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers who help us operate: Google (analytics and advertising), and our email delivery provider. These providers process data on our behalf.
Your rights
You can access or update your details in the app, delete your account (which removes your predictions and memberships), and unsubscribe from optional emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request a copy of your data or object to certain processing — email us to exercise them.
Retention
We keep your account data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, except anything we must keep for legal or security reasons.
Children
FootySweep is not intended for children under 16. We don't knowingly collect data from them.
International transfers
Our providers (such as Google) may process data outside your country. Where required, appropriate safeguards are in place.
Changes
We may update this policy; we'll change the date above when we do.
